Should we believe what we see? Is the hand faster, or the eye? In this course, starting from optical illusions and simple magic tricks, you will learn about the fundamental characteristics of our sensory organs and especially our eyes, the working principles of the brain, why looking and seeing are different, and the scientific and neurological foundations of perception. You will see whether the neurological structure of the human brain truly resembles a computer and how the rapidly advancing scientific knowledge in this field in recent years has changed what we know about the brain.
