This course introduces high school students to the transformative world of Generative AI, focusing on developing the critical AI literacy skills essential for academic and creative success. In an era where AI tools are increasingly integrated into daily life, this course aims to provide students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to become responsible and ethical participants in an AI-driven future, without diving into technical complexities. Through practical use cases, case studies, and discussions, students will learn about AI ethics, privacy, and security, while simultaneously developing skills in prompt engineering and the evaluation of generative AI outputs.
Emphasizing human creativity and critical thinking, the course will provide a roadmap for developing projects that demonstrate responsible AI usage—positioning AI as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for human insight. Through this course, students will understand how to utilize AI tools ethically and responsibly across various disciplines in their daily lives, ranging from the creative arts to academic research.
NOTE: Students must have their own computers to participate in this course.
