This course aims to introduce participants to the world of chip and sensor technologies, which form the foundation of today’s technological advancements. It provides an in-depth exploration of how microchips and sensors work, the processes involved in their production, and their applications in various fields such as healthcare, environment, automotive, agriculture, energy, and communication.

The course content includes topics such as the discovery of nanoscale materials, the properties and manufacturing processes of semiconductors, and how sensors capture environmental data and integrate it into digital systems. Moreover, just as artificial intelligence was utilized in preparing this text, the course will also discuss how advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) are integrated with chips and sensors.

Participants will have the opportunity to observe cleanroom manufacturing processes at Sabancı University’s facilities, gaining a closer understanding of the practical applications of chip and sensor technologies. These observations will help them connect theoretical knowledge with real-world manufacturing processes and develop a deeper appreciation of this fascinating field.
