Figurative Laguage & Expression Drawing Techniques

LYOSA05 (Available for all periods: 11:30 - 12:30)

At this course, students will first be taught the ratio and proportion technique as an introduction to drawing. Then, intonation techniques using various materials will be taught and students will have the chance to experience charcoal, ink and acrylic paint. After focusing on drawing techniques at the course, students will gain experience in making multiple drawings with the poses of our model. Throughout the course, portrait, still life and figure drawing techniques will be experienced. In addition to observing mimics, expressions, movements and depicting them figuratively, students will also practice abstract art from the emotions they observe. Finally, while watching the lyrical dance performance of our model, they will make instant drawings and make a digital animation video from these drawings for the end-of-course project. The materials required for the course will be provided by Sabanci Summer High School.
