"Experimental Art Studio" course introduces students to art-making through experimental, playful, and process-driven methods rather than traditional techniques. Using the simplest materials—ink, string, paper, shadow, body movement, and found objects—students explore gesture-based drawing, surrealist collective practices, chance-generated forms, blind drawing, paper sculpture, and diverse mark-making strategies. The aim is to free students from the pressure of “drawing correctly” and instead encourage a direct, curious relationship with materials, where mistakes and accidents become integral to creation. Each session offers a new mode of exploration, allowing students to develop their personal visual language while discovering the imaginative, investigative, and open-ended nature of art.
