The business world is becoming more and more global. In this course, the student will be introduced to the principles and theories of the international business environment and learn how multinational companies operate. Accordingly, this course also aims to give the students the basic skills necessary to become successful global leaders in their future business lives.
The course aims to introduce the students to the following concepts:
- International Business Setting: Rapid changes in the international business world, important international organizations, international trade and investment theories, etc.
- Factors affecting the international business environment: Sociocultural forces, constraints on raw material resources (sustainable use of raw materials), economic and socioeconomic forces, political forces, effects of the international monetary system, effects of international labor practices, etc.
- International companies' competitive advantages, organizational structures, entry strategies into other countries or markets, marketing, human resources, and financing strategies implemented by international companies.
